Believe it or not, the first UK Nandos actually opened as a takeaway in Ealing 1992! After a lack of success as a takeaway venue and with great ambition, self-belief in their incredibly tasty chicken, Nandos took a massive leap of faith by opening 5 restaurants across London. It’s safe to say it was a huge success and business was booming, by 1998 they sold their one-millionth bottle of Peri-Peri sauce!
