Hackney Wick Station

Opened in 1980, Hackney Wick is an overground service station it provides a service to Clapham Junction, Richmond, and the multi-level interchange station of Stratford. Hackney Wick station also received the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) London award (2019) after a 2018 redevelopment which saw the station receive £28 million in funding.

The station now encompasses the industrial heritage and waterways of the area while providing passengers with new stairs and lifts to improve station access as well as a new open and light ticket hall.

AATi have worked closely with London Underground engineers to develop a fully cladded stair system that is, hard wearing, compact, and easily to install on site. Gunmetal SN93/SL3/140 & SN93/SL3/280 standard cast Gunmetal (LG2) metal anti-slip stair nosing’s along with high performance anti-slip anti-wear tactile/corduroy tiles sets of tactile tiles positioned at the top and bottom of each flight conforming to BS 8300:2009 requirements. Furthermore, AATi supplied cast Gunmetal drainage grilles type ref Hyflo™ HG9/150.
