Glasgow Queen Street is the third busiest station in Scotland and serves the center of the city of Glasgow. It underwent a £120 million redevelopment starting August 2017 as part of Scot Rail’s Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Project. Footfall 16 million per year.
AATi were specified on the project to supply cast metal nosing’s for the main pedestrian entrance to the station. Anti-slip stair nosing type: SN293/WL/57 was supplied with black and yellow resin inserts to give visual contrast to the top and bottom steps. This nosing is a registered design approved for use on the London Underground (product approval register ‘APR’).
Working with Quiligotti Terrazzo Tiles Ltd, AATi provided special fixings to aid the installation process for off-site casting into terrazzo.
