AATi type ASB50 Insert Bar with ant-slip silicon carbide granules cast into the metal matrix of the wearing surface. This product is part of the Heavy Duty London Transport (HDLT™®) product range.
Specially designed for use where a complete nosing profile is considered unnecessary but where high anti-slip performance and wear resistance are required at the front edge of the step. Also for use as an anti-slip insert bar on other flat or sloping surfaces. The bars are installed so that the top face sits 1.5mm - 2mm above the surrounding surface.
Supplied either undrilled (for bonding) or drilled and Countersunk (for screw fixing) into a preformed groove.They can also be cast in-situ. It is recommended that Cast Iron insert bars are screw fixed.
