Strood Station was recently upgraded as part of the National Station Improvement Programme (NSIP) and Medway Council’s plans to regenerate the local area.
Operated by Southeastern, Strood is one of five stations in Medway along with Rochester, Rainham, Chatham and Gillingham. The area is currently undergoing a 20 year regeneration programme aiming to bring £1 billion of private sector investment to the area.
The upgrade features a bright modern design with a much larger booking hall, a new waiting room and better facilities for passengers.
